River Festival

Awen Studio is delighted to have a presence at this year’s River Festival in Haverfordwest. We are a creative community rooted in Pembrokeshire, bringing together young people, artists, and makers through hands-on arts programmes that connect creativity, wellbeing, and place.

The River Festival exists to raise awareness of the importance of the Western Cleddau and the work being done locally to protect and reconnect people with the river. Visitors will be able to meet community water testers, learn about the work of The Cleddau Project, and visit the very popular Citizen Science Hub in Haverhub’s main hall, where families and children can explore river wildlife and meet the friendly people behind local environmental science and conservation work.

At our stall you'll find work made by our young people, showing what happens when imagination is given space and support to grow. Come and find out more about what we do and explore upcoming classes and projects.

You can also discover original artwork by Owen Hart, practising artist and Awen Studio's creative lead, alongside his unique Q Art Code hand-painted QR code art, where fine art meets functional object in something completely one of a kind.

Also, have your say on an exciting new mural commission for the wall beside Haverhub, Owen will have three designs on the table and your voice matters in choosing what goes there.
